Q)
Why can't I order online especially if I already have the
shoes and am just reordering another pair?
A)
Because there are a number of insole options, we want to make
sure we have the proper one for you. The factory changes the
insoles frequently so we need to know which ones you've had
in the past to match them with what we have available today.
We also want to speak to first-time customers about their
feet to make sure we're getting the proper size and style
for your unique feet. Each style in the same size fits differently
and if we can't fit you, we'll honestly tell you this.

Q)
My heels slide up and down in the shoes, do I need a smaller
size?
A)
No, the full shoes were designed to do be loose in the heel
to avoid Achilles tendonitis. It takes a little getting used
to but after a short while, you'll stop noticing it. The shoes
don't have to do this but if they do, it's okay. Where we
need to change to a smaller size is when you're walking out
of them. With the Body shoes you should wear socks. If the
shoes "eat" your socks, customers have suggested
using the sport socks with a "bottom lip" looking
thing at the heel which seems to help them from slipping down
into the shoe.

Q)
Is there a warranty or guarantee on the footwear?
A)
Yes, there's a 30 day manufacturing warranty on the footwear.

Q)
How long should the Body Shoe/Clog last?
A)
The average life of our shoes is around 1 yr, give or take
3 months depending on the industry, amount worn each day,
cleaning solvents used on the flooring, type of chemicals
making contact with the footwear, etc. Some industries are
harder on shoes than others such as foodservice and healthcare,
who tend to wear them out faster than others. The sandals
will last longer.

Q)
How do I know when it's time to get another pair?
A)
Several things will happen as the shoes get on in age. The
bumps on the bottom of the shoes will wear down to nothing.
The tops will split. Symptoms that you've not had for awhile
return. They just feel worn out. You can call us to place
an order or meet up with us again at one of the many shows
we do each year.

Q)
There are color variations in my shoes or sandals, is this
normal?
A)
Yes, the shoes are molded and it's common to see slight color
variations, esp. in the darker colors. This is not a defect
nor will it hinder the function of the shoes. The sandal tops
are often made from a different leather lot than the footpad
which could result in a slight difference in shades.

Q)
How do I clean my shoes and sandals?
A)
The shoes, clogs, and boots have removable insoles. Remove
these and wash the footwear with mild soap and water, then
dry with a paper towel. Replace the insoles inside the footwear
and you're back in business. To clean the insoles hand wash
with mild soap and water, gently wring out, and lay flat on
the counter to dry over night. The sandals can get wet but
the way to clean them is with a damp paper towel, a handiwipe,
etc. To keep the leather soft and the colors vibrant, use
a leather cleaner (such as saddle soap). To make the shoes,
clogs, and boots shiny, use Armorall Ultra Shine found in
the auto section.

Q)
As they get older, s there a way to fix a crack or split at
the top of my shoes or clogs?
A)
Several customers have suggested that they've fixed their
splits or crack using the following method but we've personally
not done it to know if it works and for how long. For some
shoes it works great, for others, it doesn't and we don't
know why. At Wal Mart in their auto section (or any auto supply
store), they have a vinyl car seat repair patch kit. It comes
with a patch, some glue, and a set of paints. You'll only
need the patch and glue. Clean the shoes and let them dry.
Brush out the crack for any dirt or lint. Cut a patch longer
and wider then the crack, making sure to leave enough room
to loop over the top of the shoes and onto the front a little.
Using the glue that comes with the kit, gently open the crack
and put a bead of glue on one side then seal up the crack
again. Let dry. Following the instructions, adhere the patch
on the UNDERSIDE of the shoes then flip it up and over the
top ledge and a little farther down on the front. This is
to give added protection. Let it dry fully before using the
shoes again.

Q)
My shoes squeak when walking on certain floors, why is this?
A)
It has to do with the cleaners that you or your employer are
using. Places that have polished flooring, such as in hospitals,
squeaking will be noticed a bit more. Unfortunately, there's
no way to prevent this from happening except with hospital-style
shoe covers.

Q)
I'd like to exchange or get a refund on my shoes, how do I
do this?
A)
We gladly accept our shoes back as long as the bottoms aren't
worn. We suggest you wear them around on the carpet for a
while to see if you like them and they fit just like any shoe
store would recommend. If you'd like to return them for an
exchange in size, color, style, or would like a refund, please
send them back as inexpensively in a mail bag (if possible)
and MAKE SURE TO ENCLOSE A NOTE AS TO WHAT WE'RE DOING. This
is very important! We'll also need to know how much you paid
for them and don't forget to give a return address if we're
exchanging them.
